New Business:
Hanson Youth Baseball
Rob O’Brien was present at this meeting to follow up to his previously submitted pre-application in regards to requesting funds for the Hanson Youth baseball field.  Mr. O’Brien had questions on the number of quotes (estimates) to submit and what the application deadline was for submitting his request.  Laura Kemmett stated that three quotes were sufficient and the deadline to submit would be August 21, 2013.  CPC would work with Mr. O’Brien on meeting that deadline and in helping with the required paperwork prior to submission.
WHRHS – Outdoor Fitness/Sports/Recreational Center (Open Space/General)
No update.
Stone Property
Phil Clemons, Hanson Conservation Committee, submitted a pre-application for funding for the purchase of Stone Property in Hanson seeking $45K.   Hanson is being offered 115 acres (eight contiguous parcels) bordering Poor Meadow Brook for $125K.  The Town of Hanson is seeking a state LAND grant of $80K (64% reimbursement via the Department of Conservation Services) that leaves $45k necessary to purchase the land.
Since the timeline on 2013 fiscal year grants ends in July, the committee voted on accepting an emergency pre-application.  Motion to approve the pre-application was submitted by John Kemmett (1st) and second by Joe Gamache (2nd) and passed 8-0-0.

Old Business:
Thomas Mill Signs
Thomas sign is pending Town Hall approval and awaits posting.
Bonney House Project
Allan Clemons continues to work on responses from the contractor and Voch Tech School for dates to start this project.

Miscellaneous:
After careful consideration and thought, Bill Clay announced that he would be resigning from the Parks and Field Department for the Town of Hanson at the end of this month, which means he is required to vacate his Community Preservation Committee seat.  Laura Kemmett and the entire committee thanked him for all the time and effort that he put into the community and for the number of years of support; Mr. Clay will be missed.
